Hey, I need to find out which packer was used on a program...
There are certain unpackers for the different packers, and I need to find the RIGHT ONE.. but have no clue how...

a tool that tries all the possible types of packers would work wonderfully also. I just need the stupid thing unpacked (and don't want to sit here all year trying to figure out which packer it actually IS)

any help is much appreciated

I found some unpackers, and the only one that ACCEPTED the file made a file that generated errors (i'm gonna investigate the findings of course, but i still need one that works..)

OK, so it did unpack it!! GUW32.. the addresses are screwed up.. meaning the CALLS are screwed up, meaning it's like impossible to fix... so it semi worked...

Language 2000 and PEiD are pretty good for finding out which packer was used

maybe the dumper from UCF can help..it dumps programs from memory....

I have it somewhere but on a cd, dunno which. But i think its also possible to google it. Its damn old tho. If u cant find it , let me know and ill search further here.

programs to find out with what packer it is packed are useless when they modified some things, look on google, i found there a tutorial on how to unpack files manually, but dont know the exact link
