Does anyone know what password algorithim
servu ver2 uses?

eg below is from an old servu ini file

Password=saQm24JJGwGR2

it doesnt look like an MD4 or MD5 hash to me

anyone any ideas

MD3 tongue.gif maybe lol.. who knows.. the latter ones use MD5 so i would assume it would be an earlier form of that

I cracked it...
the password is "tiger"..
it's just a DES password..
John the Ripper cracked it in 1 second biggrin.gif
I tried it with the GUI application I wrote for it in Visualbasic..

handy to know servu 2 uses DES
