ok haveing trouble with serv-u when i have uploaded the files too a remote pc i execute them bla bla server up and running

than i add the domain too serv-u adminsitrator all fine NOW i want too add a dir like c:\scripts but it will not let me i press apply and nothink goes back too c:\
plus it will not let me add any users but if i change the settings in domains type too store in computer registrey it works fine but i want too stroe it in the ini will not work if i have that selected i'm not sure what too do i have try serv-u version 4 and now 5 still same stuff happens hope one of you guys/girls can help me out

this happens because your servu.ini is not writeable, it's protected.
this often happens.
connect to your server, switch to the folder where your ini is rename it and upload a new one. Now everything should work fine.
this happens when you transfer files with tftp

This is to do with permissions, in flash fxp, highlight your.ini and then right click and go to Permissions/CHMOD. In here you need to tick all for read and write. Now it will work!

Just do:attrib -r c:\direc\..\serv-u.ini
U need only if u use tftp to upload the files!
attrib -r just works fine!

Or just change it from writing to the ini file to writing to the computers registry, its a setting in servu.... easy stuff
