Symantec has also released a tool for removing it..
The W32.Sasser.Worm Removal Tool does the following:
- Terminate the W32.Sasser viral processes
- Delete the W32.Sasser files
- Delete the registry values that the worm adds
CODE http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FxSasser.exe

hey,
my friend have a virus..
it auto shutdown/restart his comp every x mins whenever he is online..
is that sasser too??
oh yea, i tried to help him before.. 'remotely'
found nothing suspicious in the startup list
EDIT
oh yea again,
he scanned his comp using symantec, microsoft, trend-micro,kaspersky sasser removal tools but found nothing...
out of ideas.. is there any chances it is not sasser?
