scanNix is a business card CD sized penetration tester built on damnsmall linux. it weighs in at an even 50 MB, and includes the following applications:
TITLE VERSION CATEGORY -------------------------------------------------------- openssl 0.9.7d crypto hydra 3.1 pwd john the ripper 1.6 pwd proxychains 1.8.2 proxy amap 4.5 scan dnsa 0.5b scan firewalk 5.0 scan nbtscan 1.5.1a scan nikto 1.32 scan nmap 3.5-1 scan paketto keiretsu 1.10 scan darkstat 2.6 sniff dsniff 2.3 sniff ettercap 0.6b sniff hunt 1.5 sniff ngrep 1.41 sniff ngrep 1.41 sniff parasite 1.2 sniff tcpreplay 2.0.2 sniff tcpslice 1.2a2 sniff fragroute 1.2 spoof nemesis 1.4b3 spoof packit 0.7 spoof cheops 0.61 audit nessus 2.0.10 audit cryptcat 1.10 net fping 2.4b2 net hping2 2-rc2 net netcat 1.10 net netcat6 6.05 net socat 1.3.2.2 net tcptraceroute 1.5b4 net thcrut 1.2.5 net
among other things. it also includes quite a few exploits, links -g as a web browser, ssl-GnuPG enabled sylpheed as an email client, and features a pretty well laid out desktop(flux) and menu system.
I'm attaching some screenshots, and i'll start uploading the ISO today. it should be available by tomorrow. there will be ten five MB sections to download.
i'm pretty sure that you guys are going to like this.
thanks to GSecur and Comsec from govsec and John from Damnsmall Linux.

tada!!!
jesus christ, how did we ever get by on 14.4? i'm pushing 40 kbs and it's suffering after a couple years of dsl.
if anyone can drop a line telling me that all the parts are fine and it reassembles ok, i'd appreciate it so i can delete this shit.
enjoy. let me know what y'all think.
next episode is fixnix, which is basically a fix windows from linux BC-CD, includes captive and a reg viewer, and a slew of drive and partition tools. i want to be able to start a windows xp install from linux, i.e. set up the drive, COPY THE INSTALL FILES TO HARD DRIVE(not possible with xp and ntfs), and setup the boot sector.
ps. i forgot to thank insecure.org. most of the tools are from the top 75 list, and it is definitely a blueprint for this.

before anyone asks, you have to unzip ALL of the files FIRST, and then you'll be left with 11 rar files.
