Is there anyway I can get Xscan to work on my win98 PC?

Xscan works just fine on Win98, i have that OS and it works just fine on my PC. Dont know why it not working for you.

Xscan_gui.exe is linked to the missing kernel32.dll:OpenThread

x-scan 2.3 can work on win98se but x-scan 3.x can not work on win98se

if yuou cant get any xscan working. my suggestion is to simply upgrade the machine from 98se to 2k.. 2k is just so much better . its like XP without eyecandy. you can run it on almost any machine too, i had a friend run it on a 486, with i think 32 or 64 megs of ram. and it ran fine.

don't think he wants to change OS there are reasons why people are still running win98; like slow computers and such and xscan v2.3 is working fine on win98, only the newest versions won't since they are ntbased
