Hi,

I've written a socks5 checker which i made as I couldn't find a program to do this.

Some of you will have access to private lists of socks servers which need a username/ password to connect. Now, its pretty annoying to manually try these, and the programs on the web only test public proxies.

Instructions are in the text file, I wrote it in VC6 using MFC, and it's only at altha stage right now.

You need to have the proxy list in Excel, and the tester imports the info from there.

I've designed it to test against IRC servers.

If you find it useful, I might extend it to do secure socks4/http...let me know of any bugs.

N.B. you need the OBDC Excel driver installed.

Enjoy.

I've added a recompiled version of this in the proxy forum, as I had forgotten to statically link mfc into this one, so it might not work if you dont have the right dll...

Very nice work, will test it (and yes, manually checking them all is pretty anoying wink.gif)

point to note for the truely paranoid, the checker works fine through sockscap...

features im working on adding at moment:

a) multi-threading to work through big lists quickly;

cool.gif authenicated socks4, & http support;

c) built in support to check through a proxy (so running it through sockscap is no longer necessary).

Any bugs found yet?
