Well, read this news,

Read this

Interesting naa? What do you think about it? What benefit we will get from it?

I don't know about the benefits we'll get from it ... we'd have to wait and see.
But it seems like Microsoft is starting to realize they need to cooperate with more people (including the open source community as seen by their recent actions in making some source code available (though it is only a little)), and that they can't dominate the world. It's about time! I think Sun should have made them beg on their knees a little, but oh well... Hope it all works out for good at some point. happy.gif

I think this is a step forward. Now Microsoft will get some help with their lousy software, and maybe make it a bit more secure. About the source code they released. Wasn't it some of the source code for Windows 2000? And i think there was something more to it, something about the programmers putting lame comments into it, or am i wrong?

idd could be a good thing. hopefully can implement some changes and not more expensive crap software etc etc tongue.gif
should be an interesting thing to keep any eye on

I think it sucks. And just shows that Sun is in dire straights. They get a huge settlement and then in the same breadth announce massive layoffs. Sun is having serious market issues right, IMHO and seems to be heading the same way as Novell, which is unfortunate. Both Sun and Novell have good products but MS has a better marketing team.

*bah*

I suppose I should be glad it's not SCO and Sun..

You do know this happened a couple of months ago......

Uhhh.. Check the date on it. April 4th. They (MS) handed over money to Sun this week.

Perhaps you're thinking of SCO and MS.
