yo is easy bro, u cant put a shell with windows put u can use with windows, a shell is an unix system installed on a computer with a configuration that lets u works from windows in linux by telnet or ssh.

shells are important because with a shell u can install a psybnc and in irc the ppl wont see your ip, u can run several bots, add users to the shell and get money by selling users... so its really interesting how this works man.

i think u better start to read about shells....

A shell Is a Account on a remote *nix box.

So Paradox if your getting *nix anyday now there isnt much point in you getting
a shell is there.

Unless you would like to have access to a computer that is up 24/7, usally a shell
like this costs money unless u have a friend with a *nix box smile.gif.

the main reason ppl offer shells if for hosting pupouses some of the things ppl might host are Websites , ftp servers , ircd ect.

i hope that gives you a better understanding of what a shell is.

You can give other people access to your system on Windows XP. Just follow these steps:

(1) Go to Start -> Connect To -> Show All Connections.
(2) Click on Create a New Connection. A wizard will come up.
(3) Click on Next.
(4) Choose Set up an Advanced Connection. Then click on Next.
(5) Choose Accept Incoming Connections. Then click on Next.
(6) Choose the modem which you want to accept incoming calls. Then click on Next.
(7) Choose if you want to accept VPN packets or not. Then click on Next.
(8) Choose the users which you want to have access to your computer. Then click on Next.
(9) Choose the protocols which you want to use for incoming connections. Then click on Next.
(10) Click on Finish.
An icon will appear in taskbar when somebody connects to your system.
