check servustartuplog.txt
aapje
that is empty, because it never starts up...

how about running the exe directly and not messing with the service, then does it start?
aapje
yes, it works now, there had been some other service from an old servu installed, so it changed the service name or something :S

Thanks, will try it, but isnt there a way like deleting it from the registery in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentConrtolSet/services/ in dos?
dont-staY
hmmm, there is a way. You have to create the following .reg file:

CODE

REGEDIT4
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Serv-U]

Now you can import it to the registry:

regedit.exe /s <name.reg>

Then your Service should be deleted ...

Excuse the spam, but thanks for the tip Dont-Stay, I did not know by preceding with (-) you could remove keys with the regedit command.
