You might be having issues with the video card. What exactly is the error? (Visit Redhat's Hardware Compatibility List to see if you have some unsupported hardware)

i dont think so man.
the vga is ok i think cuz one of our schools pc uses the same and we could setup winxp-2003-red hat 7.3 and redhat9 all of them wink.gif
JEvel
what is happening when you are installing whats wrong?
I think that you should install 9.0 insted of 7.3..

Can you explain that trouble plz?.. What was the error you found?.. huh.gif

Looking at your hardware the only problem i would expect is the performance because RedHat uses KDE/Gnome, which need both a comparatively fast hardware.
But as already said before, posting the error would help us a lot to find the problem smile.gif

waw! please tell me how?

Redhat's Online Installation Manual for 7.3 seems to suggest a hardware issue. I do remember a minor anaconda issue with various video cards. While tedious you may want to check out the RedHat 7.3 Errata page.

You might also want to install it without using the GUI (install text I think) and then boot into runlevel 3 rather than the GUI. Fix the problem first before booting up. That might work as a temporary fix.

I'd also humbly suggest NOT installing RH 9. Experience that I've seen and the troubleshooting I've had to do for it suggests to me that it was a rush job. Multimedia in particular seems to be an issue as are some compiler issues. But that's just me.

Try a newer distro as other ppl said.
Wont be a good idea installing kde on weak systems
Id go for slackware or maybe the new fedora (with icew instead kde/gnome)

Im a fan of the latest and greatest, and i even hate red hat, but DO NOT install 9.0 if you dont have to... and dont install 8 AT ALL. 7.3 was the last real, stable version. Everything else since then has gone to crap and became more proprietary than ever (almost as much as windows).
