Here are some security related *freeware* tools to protect/monitor your computer.

--StartupRun
The StartupRun utility displays the list of all applications that are loaded automatically
when Windows boots. For each application, additional information is displayed
(Product Name, File Version, Description, and Company Name), in order to allow you to easily
identify the applications that are loaded at Windows startup. if StartupRun identifies a
spyware or adware program that runs at startup, it automatically paints it in pink color.
In addition, you are allowed to Edit, disable, enable and delete the selected startup entries.
You can also save the list of startup items into a text or html files, and even add a new
startup entry to the Registry.

--Protected Storage PassView is a small utility that reveals the passwords stored on your
computer by Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and MSN Explorer. The passwords are revealed
by reading the information from the Protected Storage.
Starting from version 1.60, this utility reveals all AutoComplete strings stored in Internet
Explorer, not only the AutoComplete password, as in the previous versions.
This utility can show 4 types of passwords: Outlook passwords / AutoComplete passwords in Internet Explorer
Password-protected sites in Internet Explorer / MSN Explorer Passwords

--IEcompo
small utility to displays the list of Internet Explorer components that are installed
on your computer.

--FTP-it!
With this tool all you need to do to upload any file on your FTP is to right click on it!
Small, really usefull and practical. (contains no spyware or adware)
** oups, not security related, but usefull **

--EncryptoDoc v0.1.1 (requires free registration)
supporting 10+ encryption algorithms, batch-encryption of documents.

--AnalogX PortBlocker 1.02 - Freeware
AnalogX PortBlocker allows you to basically block the Internet port of most servers,
making them unreachable to other computers on the Internet. This program is NOT a Firewall,
but it will allow you to run a server that is only available on the local network, and will
log any access attempts made by other machines that are attempting to use the blocked
interface.

--EndItAll 2
For users running a number of third-party software applications the process of pressing
CTRL+ALT+DEL and Ending Task on each individual program (10, 15, even in some cases 20
or more!) one by one can be a tedious process. EndItAll 2, a small freeware utility
authored by Neil J. Rubenking makes closing all running applications a quick and easy process.
EndItAll 2 lets you easily terminate in one shot all non-essential programs and processes for the purposes of:
installing new software
uninstalling software
running utilities such as ScanDisk and Disk Defragmenter
running demanding and/or finicky games
writing to CD-Rs that need a big buffer

--SpywareBlaster
SpywareBlaster doesn't scan and clean for spyware - it prevents it from ever being installed.
By setting a "kill bit" for spyware ActiveX controls, SpywareBlaster can prevent the
installation of any spyware ActiveX controls from a webpage. It does this while not
interfering with "friendly" ActiveX controls - so your browser can work correctly and you
can have peace of mind!
Only targets items used by spyware and browser hijackers to embed themselves into your system - so you can get the results that you want: a spyware-free system
Detects changes and additions - and alerts of both on a restore operation
Provides a list of changed/added items - so the user has full control over what will be restored
Covers hundreds of items - including the most popular areas altered by browser hijackers and spyware, as well as many currently un-tapped areas
And much much more!

--MoveOnBoot
allows you to copy, move or delete files on the next system boot. This comes in very handy,
if you need to replace or delete files which are locked by other applications, loaded into
memory or cannot be changed until next system boot. You could manually enter a line to the
wininit files, but using MoveOnBoot is much simpler, since the program can be integrated
into shell - it creates the "Copy/Move/Delete on boot" context menu item.
