Full Version: Wfp Disabler
DiabloPatch
Hi this is just a little utilitie coded by me to disable WFP but I only recommend to use it on your own machine because it has some bugs see readme below:

Hi there

This was my personal project to make a wfp disabler. thx to Kimatrix also co-founder of KD-Team for helping me out with
testing stuff.

I DO NOT recommend using this on remote pc's because it has some bugs.

1. Gives a lot of feedback
2. It disables the wfp but the admins will get a pop-p saying do you really want to haveWFP disabled at every startup.
3. Machine Reboot is needed

So I would sugges to only use it @ own comp if you need to disable WFP for some reason.
further more it could be that it doesn't work. Because of the changing of dll's doesn't occure correct.

But you still have the Patched .dll(renamed to .bak) in the c:\ dir so you can change them manually.

Hope you peeps learn from this code.

things that could be learned

- win2k and xp reboot
- Patching dll's
- Binarie file copy
- registry reading/writing.

THANKS: MaXxX for helping me to find a nice page about registry.

This is a very good program diablopatch..didn't have time to really do more than just glance through it. And about the last one, you're making it more into a bigger deal than it was. All I did was point out that you copied an entire function from somewhere else, perhaps I should'nt have mentioned it at all..seeing how you're still dwelling on it. So get over it..and this does look like a good prog, I'll check out the popup bug later.

Okido let's get over with it smile.gif

lemme explain why I was kinda like WTF. It's because in all the work I ever posted on internet I always gave credits to the ones/sources that helped me so now I was like damnz :S why does he say that I never give credits.(I say never because that is how I saw your post)

To be honest apart form you I never saw som1 give msdn credits. Other peeps code yes but msdn never.Nice that you do it though

But fine with me case solved smile.gif

I always like a good feedback even if it's negative smile.gif

Hope this little discussion won't become the reason for not getting any feedback at all and again I don't mind negative feedback smile.gif

Hope you agree with case solved.
