hi,..

Ive got a Apache webserver runnin on my system(win2k). How can i set chmod rights without using ftp-server?
It shouldnt be such a big prob, or? biggrin.gif

You can't set chmod's on a Win-Box. Normally, it isn't necessary to set them.

I believe you can set some rights with win2k but you must have ntfs filesystem then. Fat is useless in that point

However, if you would like to set permissions like what can easily be accomplished in unix / linux version, I'd suggest you get and use the GNU Unxutils package. It is a windows port to all of the tools and benefits of unix.
