just ran a netstat and found this...
(i've removed all the other connections from the list below, they're not relevant)
[ i am "me", which makes all the connections to myself look really weird... ]

I would get a program called Active Ports
http://www.protect-me.com/freeware.html, and you can further monitor.

Look at this portlist.. Seems to be applications running at those ports.

Doesn't look weird to me. If its you talking to yourself its usually just application traffic as roxor posted. I don't become concerned til its someone elses IP attached to my comp.

there is no problem, all called from local system.
if you unsure, install a packetsniffer like ethereal for windows, and connect to
the internet, open nothing ie and download nothing, you can see if anything
do, i hope i can help you
