well i'm searching for about 8 months for exploits that work on win98se


does any one have more info.. if there are exploits in it?

and if so maybe some sourcecode/binair file.. would be nice.



i was first searching for buffer overload.. but i couldn't find any or some source that is possible to get local acces..


why ask you guy's well about 3years ago somebody hacked me.. that's for sure.. becaurs i found prived stuff one lanparty..
that's i wanne know if there are exploits that ppl get root acces on this os..

most exploit of win32 can run on win98se except ms03049
exploit of *nix can run on win98se unless it compilrye with cygwin
but you must have a Cygwin1.dll at the same directory

yeah oke you mean th IE exploits.. but that isn't what i'm looking for..

the rpc mode well of cours win98 doesn't have it...


the exploits i only found for win98se was dos exploits like con/con exploit some nuke stuff.. but nothing to get root access..

I heard that win98 is vulnerable to the asn bug...but i don't really know it..some people talk about it at full-disclosure.

i have got the same problem. i have googled exploits but all the exploits are dos attacks or nukes.Oh yes i have found the exploit "paralyze32.exe" from packetstormsecurity.com which restarts windows 98 se. Can it be changed to give a remote shell or execute a file on websever.

I think that windows 2000,xp ... are a lot easy to hack.he he.....

Most of wondows 98 se just open port 139, so we can only exploited in sharing file, maybe isyu of ASN1 vuln will change this..............

only exploit i know for win98se is netbios exploit, with null session, pass is easy to break.
unsure if sharing is activated on default install like for win2000/xp/nt.
