Hi m8s..

I've got a little prob with this sweet svchost.exe!
Everytime i connect to the inet it crashes. Normally i woud say it sounds like the MsBlaster or something, but the KAV(full updated) doesnt detect anyone.
ive formated the disk, but its always the same prob!???


Anyone a idea?

It's a virus. Forgot which one, but it dates from december or so. Better get a -good- AV suite en rescan your system.

If you really want to know which virus it is; just pay any AV company's website a visit and look for svchost.exe.

i think, KAV is the best Antivir u can get. and if its really a virii from december, he have to detect it!!

I know there are more then one virus, who crash this exe.

Before you connect to the internet after a clean format, you should always enable the Windows Internet Connection Firewall or install some 3rd party software before-hand! Block all ports and incoming connections and goto the windows update site.

1)start>run>shutdown -a
type this command when show msg.
2)start>run>dcomcnfg
the u can desable svchost

***important:
this bug for ur windows,so format,fdisk cann't work.
u most update ur windows or use command....

i don't know which virus your computer is infected
but one thing you must to do is to patch your computer and install a internet firewall

I have the same problem ..

u should use bitdefender
and www.inoculer.com with the online scanner ...

put a firewall on your computer
add the services pacK

now I have no problem

I assume ur running 2k/XP, did you use the windows setup partioning, or a dos boot disk? If you used the setup routine for windows, I would go back and format it with a different utility, like the dos format, or something like partition magic, and format it in fat, then go back and reformat the partition in ntfs with windows setup.

I've seen this same problem before.
