If anybody is interested in a win32 client which does something similar (socks frontend, converting to HTTPS requests, let me know - I coded one last night for personal use.

Ok, HttpEyes v0.3 is available for download
http://sss.deny.de/he.htmlFeatures
----> SOCKS4, SOCKS5 support [CONNECT cmd only, no BIND]
----> Limiting max number of connections
----> Limited logging + stats.
One bug still present, minor one, just an annoying popup window from time to time (Winsock error 10053). Just ignore, and let it run on

Have fun!

HttpEyes v0.4 out.
Changes?
Fixed AsyncSocket bug on client disconnect.
Added a timeout - connection times out if no data for `x` seconds.
Couple of other small changes.
