Hi,

I'm writing a simple firewall killer, but rather than kill all possible firewall services, i want to do it in two stages.

Sometimes, only the XP Firewall is enabled, so I want to kill this 1st (less obvious to the user). If this fails, then to kill all possible firewalls.

So, i'm looking for a comprehensive firewall service list (i tried the search button already) and the service name for the xp firewall.

the service is:Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) / Internet Connection Sharing
(ICS) .Somewhere I read it is called sharedaccess.Better check.
alg.exe:third party plugins support for xp firewall.

hmm.... how do u make the anti-virus stop forever, so once they restart their computer, the service will remain disabled?

im not too bothered about AV, as all my progs are undetected - in fact its nice to have the AV there, it gives the vic a false sense of security.

The list above is very useful, as i can filter out the firewalls from it. Thanx!

[edit] hmm actually it's not going to be easy, to filter that list for just firewalls, does anyone one has a firewall only list?

1 You forgot xp firewall service (see thats been fixxed above)
2 you do something dumb this is dos. so net stop 1 2 3 wont work it has to be net stop '1 2 3'. So some net stops of that list have to be fixxed.

more then half of the list are executables and no services..
doing a net stop on them wont do anything!

you'll have to kill these processes with a process killer or something
