I'm sorry, i cant really make a topic, im guessing i dont have enough posts, but i do need some help.
On Tuesday, something happend to where when i wanted to type in a website, right when i pressed enter i got an error explorer.
Then, thought of logging into my Yahoo/AIM/AOL/MSN/etc.... got an error on those as well.
Basically you cant get online. Ive done scans and everything.
What i found out is, when i went to MS-DOS.. I typed in "ipconfig" and i got TWO ethernet adapters.
Basically thats what showed up, there's really not supposed to be showing two things here, only one adapter is supposed to show up, the second one that says "1 adapter" is fine, but the first, with the zero's isnt. Never really had this problem so i dont know what to do..
any clues on how to fix this? Thanks.
Someone else also responded to this and said "st disable it from the hardware wizard. Problem solved." and i dont know what he's talking about, i dont know what "it" is.
Anyway, any help here? Thanks.

... that just means you have two adapters.. don't see how it could cause problems (i have 2, don't use one, just like you, no problems)... but hey.. go to control panel and add/remove hardware.. find the NIC card you're not using and 'remove it' which will remove the drivers, and you can remove the actual card (or disable it if it's integrated) later.. might want to try an "ipconfig /renew 1 Ethernet Adapter" (you said that's what it's name connection was... it's probably Local Area Connection 1) command before removing it... and also might want to check with ISP for an outage.. and it's ususally a free call to ISP, they'll walk you through fixing it too
