hiderun.exe works like a charm m8

If you have a commandline just type:
hiderun.exe ipcscan.exe 1.1.1.1-2.2.2.2 -p 3389 -t 200
Works fine mate, alternatively if you're running it from a Serv-U:
site exec hiderun.exe ipcscan.exe 1.1.1.1-2.2.2.2 -p 3389 -t 200
GhostCow
FU rootkit. available at rootkit.com
it hides running processes. unlike hiderun which needs to be running in order to hide the GUI of the process, this rootkit does its thing and shuts down. it hides the process from the proccess list and doesn't hook any APIs to do so.
what i would do if i wanted to run a scan or something without raising any eyebrows is run ipcscan with hiderun and then hide hiderun.exe and ipcscan.exe with FU rootkit. 2 birds with one rootkitstone.

Have these apps names become blurred over time I think? I thought hidden32.exe was the actual name of the dos "hiderun" app ppl are calling it now...hiderun.exe was a gui app you ticked off boxes to make it hide things...I could be way wrong here though

Not trying to be a dick here fellas but do you even test to see that thing is even necessary anymore? Try a ftp on your PC exactly as you have all been doing (for the most part wink.gif ) MINUS the hidden32/hiderun Only the very old versions of servu needed this thing to prevent the popup...neat app though...always a handy 1! smile.gif

It does work in some interesting ways --if yer a geek like myself, try different operations with hidden32 and a "tree" based app like tlist using [b]-t /b] switch...it can really mess up the way an app interacts with windows from my limited knowledge of it

oh: way to post whore EXPLOiTED unsure.gif tongue.gif

isn't Dickybob asking for an alternative to hiderun because he wants GUI? So it won't really help if we keep on teaching him how to run hiderun via commandlines thru serv-u and most likely he already knows howta use it

dotcom has a pointe.. I tried it on one of my freinds computers.. You don't need hiderun.exe if you want 2 ipcscan.. Popup does not come up.

Just a remark, hiderun and hidden32 are detected by McShield sad.gif

Also hidewin.exe is a simple point and click program to hide apps but it shows up under task manager.

hidden32.exe will hide the gui, but if the person does ctrl+alt+del they can see the process running still. if you want them to not be able to see the process go over to rootkit.com and download one of their rootkits.
