Maybe im missing something, but it seems that in order to use many network tools you need to be connected using a nic and not a modem. Packet sniffers, ethereal included, will only log incoming packets and not outgoing. It's a real pain in the butt.if you want to see what the device your messing with is doing

Does any one know of a way to get around this? Short of setting up the computer that connects to the internet as a gateway and using the tools across a network. Is there a reverse fossil driver around? If not what's the best proxy/socks to enable all protocols across an aol network which will not allow (at least for me) internet connection sharing using the tools built into win2k? i know loose aol...but my g/fs really computer illiterate and likes aol.
