I am running RedHat9. I am fairly new at Linux and am having a hard time installing GNapster. Im sure it is a very simple fix, but here is what I am getting.
[root@localhost gnome-napster-0.6.2]# ./configure
loading cache ./config.cache
checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes
checking for working aclocal... missing
checking for working autoconf... missing
checking for working automake... missing
checking for working autoheader... missing
checking for working makeinfo... missing
checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no
checking for gnome-config... no
checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/local/lib... not found
configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install
Since I am ignorant in the Linux area you might need to hold my hand on this one.

That is your problem right there.

Like I said, I am really new to Linux so could you (and I hate to say this) go a little more in depth for me?
I know you are busy but I would really appreciate it.

Are you using gnome as your window manager?

Yes I am
One quick thing ... never ./configure or make things as root. Always use a non-privileged user for that. Only run make install as root.
You should read the REAME that should be included in the source. You probably needed automake or something installed.
