Make sure you don't have a firewall (like a DSL router) blocking packets.

Does nc do anything, or does it bust an error? Running just nc from the command line with no options should give you:

Cmd Line:

That said, make sure you are trying to run the thing from an executable path. You can't stick it in c:\fred if c:\fred isn't in your path. Blah blah blah... just make sure you're in the same directory as NC.EXE or add it to your path.

Netcat is one of the most handy network utilities arround. Unfortunately *Hobbit* made it available only for Unix systems. Weld Pond made a first port of netcat for NT. By using UWIN and VC++ 5.0 I was able to compile netcat on my Win95 box with no problem. All it required was commentiong out res_init() and doing a ``make generic''.

So i think it will run on the win95, just try it with a tool like vmware or smt like that!
