Make sure you don't have a firewall (like a DSL router) blocking packets.
Does nc do anything, or does it bust an error? Running just nc from the command line with no options should give you:
Cmd Line:
That said, make sure you are trying to run the thing from an executable path. You can't stick it in c:\fred if c:\fred isn't in your path. Blah blah blah... just make sure you're in the same directory as NC.EXE or add it to your path.
byeeee!

| Netcat is one of the most handy network utilities arround. Unfortunately *Hobbit* made it available only for Unix systems. Weld Pond made a first port of netcat for NT. By using UWIN and VC++ 5.0 I was able to compile netcat on my Win95 box with no problem. All it required was commentiong out res_init() and doing a ``make generic''. |
So i think it will run on the win95, just try it with a tool like vmware or smt like that!
