systeminfo does nearly the same things except it doesn't work on win 2k

Sorry, but I'd have to dissagree. Probably the best system reporting tool I've found on a windows box has to be Belarc advisor. The sheer amount of detail blows cominfo out of the water.
If you're using Cominfo I suggest you give Belarc a try. I'm certain you won't go back.

Yo SG, you are right man. I tried Belrac Advisor, and boy the info it came back with shocked me. Some stuff I didn't even know I had installed. very cool tool. Highly Recommended.

its a dos/cmd prompt tool, so works perfectly for remote uses as well as local, just remember to use the right switches with psinfo to get the info you want

real kewl tool, but can't use it on remote servers, so it's not rly usable for me.
the other two apps i couldn't download, maybe that's because i'm connecting through school, and connection here is sucky, maybe it will work when i'm at home, or i'll try to google it.

Nice tool. But it reports my 2 ghz processor in my laptop as 1.2.
Maybe just a fluke. Otherwise, I am impressed!
I ran across this tool b4 slippyg noted it, but never took the time until she touted it. Thanks SG.

I just read this thread and saw 3 or 4 ppl responding with something like "thanks man, great tool, but no thanks, i wont use it..." ComSec spotted that after the first guy but others kept on replying like that. What with all that? You dont want it? you dont like it? Just dont use it. No need for such posts...
