GraphEdit build 011008

Changes from SDK 8.0a to 8.1

BRIEFLY
=======

- GraphEdit has been revised for 8.1 to improve its user interface and to
correct problems with zoom levels.

DETAILED
========

Revised GraphEdit application

The GraphEdit utility benefits from several improvements, particularly
with respect to its user interface, menus, and toolbar. Additionally,

- Graph resizing code (View->xxx %) handles all sizes correctly, and
you can resize your graphs using the menu, keyboard +/- keys, and
Ctrl+MouseWheel.

- You can optionally disable the seek bar (and its timed updates), which
has been known to cause difficulty when debugging filters with GraphEdit.

- To preserve screen real estate, source and file writer filters displayed
in GraphEdit will now only display their corresponding filenames as the
filter name, instead of displaying the fully qualified path name.
For example, a file source for the file
"C:\DXSDK\samples\Multimedia\Media\lake.mpg" would display "lake.mpg".

To install simply double click on register bat. If it comes up with some errors search for regsvr32.exe
and put the full path of that file before every call to regsvr32 in the batch file and run it again.

Sysenum is a tool that helps you unregister troublesome directshow codecs.

To do this, run GraphEdit, then render a media file that uses the
troublesome codec. This tells you the codec's human-readable name.
(E.g. "Mediamatics MPEG-2 Splitter")

Then, run SysEnum, go to the "DirectShow Filters" section, scroll in the
list at right till you find the codec's name, click on it, and down at
the bottom of the window the filename shows up. Now you can "regsvr32
/u" it.

This is a Bloody Cool Tool drag a Avi/mpg/divx into it's window and see what compressors/Decompressors are Required to Run the Movie..... Visually....wink.gif

Enjoy!

yeah it's different to gspot....and you can do some cool stuff with it , Gspot is a totally different tool altogether... I Have both...

With Graphedit for Example you can Modify the Filters and run the Movie in it's inbuilt player.. and you can do other things with it like strip the Audio/Video out of it and stuff ...instead of sending the stream to the Output Sound Device you can Send it to a Mp3/Wave File wink.gif

Crap like that ... I Find it useful now and Again... Mind you I Have a Copy of Premiere 6.5 here somewhere that I'll Install Another Day...Actually I've Got Shit Loads of stuff Might Share it on the Exo-P2P Thinggy when I Get the Chance...
