lol on my win box, if i didnt have this tool id probably go insane. what this does is, anytime a program or script or anything wants to try to add itself to your startup, the startupmonitor will give you a popup alert and ask you if u want to allow it to add to your startup or not. so basicly its a good way to avoid getting trojaned hiddenly, avoid spyware and other things. and i know almost everyone has a spyware problem, so id also suggest getting Ad-Aware 6 for the spyware scanning and removal.

sounds like a nice tool bro, i hope it's paid for

anyway, i wonder how they do this... prolly monitor some key API calls (having to do with registry values no doubt!)
