Seems the app is basically the same as in http://forums.governmentsecurity.org/index...?showtopic=1718

Also if your OS is fat you can delete your index.dat file by using a boot disk and deleting it manually. Its not hard, just need to know where your index.dat lives which can be done by search in windows explorer. Usually in c:\documents and settings\username\cookies for XP, c:\winnt\username\cookies for Win2k and c:\windows\cookies for Win9x systems.

So just boot off the disk and delete the file. If you want to do it on a regular basis just make a batch file with your setup\directory structure on the boot disk.

Good info this why I started this topic.... mainly jst to aware ppl that explorer stores information about various sitez visited in a cache file. and if the ppl @ STG could decrypt it then who else has had the opportuniy to view your surfing habbits.?

There's a few gems on the Market which remove the Index Dat File from your computer for you the likes of "Evidence Eliminator" & "Privacy Eraser Pro" Perhaps I'll Upload em Here One Day.

Enjoy your day!

Wkd.

ps: Next topic of disscusion "What is the Pagefile" and How do I Delete it?

pps: Perhaps Another Batch.file......
