Let's say that you find a server that is vulnerable to unicode traversal, and you "root" it. Is there a way to then secure the server so that no one else "steals" it from you?

PS: lets assume you have shell access and can execute commandline programs.

Yes Format would be the secure command .... honestly theres lots of things to try to secure it but once again to secure the computer you had better pull the plug
