When I delete netstat.exe, it gets respawned after a while. But as you can imagine, I don't want that So I hope there's a (hidden?) regkey or something else to prevent netstat from respawning.
Replacing the file doesn't work either, so I don't know what to do.
Bye...

just do one thing...go to windows/system32 ...in this folder arrange the icons according to file size( right click on some free space..u will get that option)..search for a file with the same size as netstat.exe....this file wud be sitting just next to that...copy that to some other folder....rename it as netstat.exe....copy it paste it back into system32..it will ask for an overwrite...say yes....now try doing netstat on command prompt..it wont work.......

Windows file protection is what was putting it back. A backup copy is kept in the service pack I386 directory(do a search for netstat.exe to locate all places)
On the next patch or service pack it will probably revert back to the real netstat.
You can also try disabling WFP.
Here's a program that can do it...
