yes there is :

within Computer management (administative tools)

goto

System tools


Event Viewer

System

they should be shown as "Application Pop Ups"

and look a bit like :

Application popup: Messenger Service : Message from ME to YOU on 13/10/2003 15:39:39

where ME = your ip
YOU = IP that the message was sent to
heh = message that was sent

Use a Keylogger m8 , I dont think there is something in Windows to log it, Well, good question, I liked it anyway, now I can only tell you to use a Keylogger..
