Smbscan And Wmi Scan?

Yes i kno this sounds realy dumb but i have never looked into it before, i kno about ipcscan but ON NTScan what iuse for scanning it has SMBScan And WMIScan could any 1 tell me what these are for? and if u can still hack Netbios with it? thanks in advance

For NT you scan Port 135,139 and 445
