then you can connect to the remote host on the given port.
It's a nice peace of advice to install it as service!

Its OK.. but it doesnt have password protection, which is a must if you want to keep it running for an extended period of time.
I'd suggest Evilsocks, which has pwd protec, socks 4+5 support, and IDENTD.. Oh and autostart.

I had a proxy before, with a login and pass and other advanced functions, easy to install though, but since my Hd crash I lost it and don't remeber the name

i ran a search and found evil socks ... (excellent tool) here it is for yall... btw: my NAV and many other antivirus programs detect the server file and the rest of the program, so when handled disable the autoprotect, and afterwards when you made yurself a server file, pack it with UPX's best compression so that it wont be detected by the AV's.... worked for me....

Been using this one for awhile now. If you run it on an obscure port (handy for irc ) then its not that likely to be found by someone randomly scanning for socks, imo.

Hmm is it just me, or cant i find the eyehtml youre talking about? That site hasnt a program like that hosted I did an quick search on google but didnt found there anything either
----> SOCKS4, SOCKS5 support [CONNECT cmd only, no BIND] ----> Supports HTTPS proxies with authentication. ----> Limiting max number of connections ----> Limited logging + stats.
One bug still present, minor one, just an annoying popup window from time to time (Winsock error 10053). Just ignore, and let it run on
Have fun! _________________ SSS (version Infinity)

Annoying popup fixed, timeout added. Small bugfix - the connection limit was hardcoded to 4, now linked to slider position. Usage? Essentially this runs a SOCKS server on localhost, port 1080. Which means that you can configure your regular apps which support SOCKS 4 or 5 to connect to localhost:1080 as a SOCKS proxy. These connections will then be forwarded to the HTTPS proxy of your choice (as set up in the main window of HttpEyes). You can also specify https proxy user/pass if you need to authenticate to the proxy.
How does one use this with apps that dont support the SOCKS protocol? Well you can use it with apps requiring TCP only, not udp (exception is ftp which is tcp only -> go get flashfxp). All you need to do is download SocksCAP from www.socks.nec.com, point it to localhost:1080 as a SOCKS 5 server, and use attempt local then remote for the dns setting. Then add your application to sockscap and launch it from the sockscap gui. Have fun :)
Sorry bout that..
