Hi,
Usually Windows Admins use Linux Boot disk to Reset the Win 2k Admin passwords... Of course if you have local access.. Well, I need to know, is there anyway to stop this.. Even if a person got a linux boot disk and local access, He could not Reset the passwords or Edit registry... Hey, anything I could do, Please help... I just thought of it when I used the Linux boot disk last time to reset an Admin Password.

If someone has physical access to your machine its not your machine anymore...

Unless you have some method of physically preventing someone from accessing your machine or machines floppy/cd drives, then theres not much you can do to prevent someone with local access in resetting passwords.

only way would be : stoping boot from disk/cd and set a password on the bios

But if the user has physical access what would stop him from clearing the BIOS pass ?
