I was wondering if there is anywhere we can see lists of ISP IP addrress ranges.
I know you can find out where the IP address is geographically but you must also be able to find out who owns it.

Whois will do the trick but there must be a list of ranges published somewhere on the net.

Or any other classifications of IPs for that matter.

You wouldn't want to annoy the wrong people.

Great site. The only problem with that site, is when you dont have the netblocks and are trying to find out what netblocks are assigned to the isp.

You can goto http://whois.arin.net.

In the search field type: n <ispname>

For example: n cable and wireless

Out will come all the netblocks assigned to them directly.
