Well, Id recommend "Teach yourself C++ in 21 days" (Sams).

The best guide in my opinion is have a look at Amazon, and read through the reviews of some of the many programming books out there, and make your mind up from there.

id highly recomend any SAMS c books and i highly recomend you buy one in real life. either brand new or hit the 2nd hand book shops.
having a book is heaps better you can write in it if you want and you can take it places (eg i read my book on the bus). ebooks are cool but you cant read them everywhere...
