Full Version: Exploit Compiling
Nexcess
Okay ive tried recently to download exploits and compile them myself using dev c/c++(I cant code to save my life but compiling with a gui seems easy enuff)
Is there any place I can download header files? I tried a hotbot search last night and wound up finding everything but direct header file downloads.
Secondly, as i seem to be diving deeper into security studies ive decided to install cygwin as was suggested in another post, and understand its a *nix like environment for winblows Ive never used any kind of *nix software, any suggestions other then reading a 500kiloton nix manual?

Thanks,
Nexy

Also a good tool for compiling is cygwin with the gcc addon. Take your code .. put it in your home directory of the compiler then just on the cmd line type EX: gcc mycode.c -o mycode.exe

Im not saying I wouldn't compile it for you, but mind you i know absolutly nothing
about coding. I just downloaded a compiler and started fiddling around with it.Same with cygwin, I just downloaded it, knowing NOTHING about either *nix system.
I guess what I'm saying here is "Please try to learn to do this yourself as well"
Its what im trying to do, and whether I succeed in learning it or not I will be able to tell people when they ask "Did you try to do this yourself" "yeah, I did" which is a lot better then having to say "No, I'm too lazy to even try" smile.gif

Thanks for the input guys.
