hmm not to be a dick but I think you might have taken too big a step. Good job on dropping a shell but you should prolly look into basics of rooting first. For example configuring a custom serv-u ini and how to use tftp. those 2 should get you started in the right direction.........
cheers

after you got a shell you first need to upload the files to the hacked machine...with tftp or echoing... then u start it and if its ok you should have a hacked server...
my advice before you Exploit and hack things...first think why do u need it...and do u know how to do what u need (sorry 'bout my eng) |
I thought tftp was a program incorporated within windows only

Can you use such commands as echo, tftp and ftp in linux? Just like every skript kiddie moving on, im looking towards linux too. I know some basic commands for a linux/unix shell but thought you cannot run win32 programs on this operating system.
I think i need a tut for linux n00bs!

Try wget. With that you can download files from http, ftp and ... don't know what else. But i can't say if it's installed by default, so just have a look.

Yay, I understood your french! I translated it roughly like so:

I am french ducky, but my problem ducky is that I do not know the commands to make a linux server, if you have a tutorial for me how to do it, that would help me very much, because I want to make my Linux server like a serv_u.

Seriously, all you have to do is exploit realserver, and then install serv_u. If you have no idea on how to do it, you'll need to learn more about Linux, because you wouldn't stand a chance.

Actually it seems like ALL of you need to learn something about Linux and serv-u. Serv-U is a Win32 app only. There is no port for it to run on Linux
On the other hand there are many ftp servers that are distributed with the various linux distributions such as proftpd, wuftpd, etc. The commands to start these ftp servers are almost always found in the /etc directory.
The rest you should figure out on your own, or otherwise you have no chance of installing/reconfiguring the server.
My advice, as you obviously dont know linux, you prob shouldnt be trying to hack into it.

*shrugs*
I do not waste my time with stupid Win32 apps which are widely abused by warez kiddies, I did not realise it was for Windows...

Before posting that we need to learn about Linux, try getting your own knowledge sorted. /etc stores the system config files, a binary (executable) is rarely found in /etc. The directory to which you are refering is /etc/init.d...Get your own shit correct before you start to shoot you mouth off to people.

You don't really need to re-write my posts, I stated this clearly enough:

Actually your post was inaccurate in regards to the serv-u comment. Therefore I was correcting a post, not rewriting it.
You are absolutely correct that executables are not found in /etc, and after rereading my post I can see how some people would read it that way. When I said commands, I was not referring to the actual executable files. Rather I was referring to the shell scripts, what i called "The commands", that launch them.
So hate to say it, but my shit was correct.

Please point out where my post is incorrect, except for the fact that I had no clue of what serv-u was.
