The old techique of using telnet to id a email server banner is working less and less these days. So short of creating a email to the target with a intentional bad address just to read the full header, is there a simple app that would do this?

My Netcat skills are overly rusty so if you know of another standalone app that would do it I would appreciate it. or simple cmd line method.
