1)i started to scan and told the prog to write the result in a txt file but the prog is writing the hosts that couldnt be hacked.
2) is there a special thing i neeed to do in windows xp so i will find results? (tcp/ip,netbios)

maybe you can give us the line that you used to start ipcscan, so we can see you didn't type anything wrong.

i don't really know what you must do in xp to get good results, but i believe his will have effect on your scan:

- netbios must run (net start netbios)
- guest account must be turned on without password (this is standard, so if you didn't change it, it should be fine)

=> if your scanning from your own box, be carefull. use a scanstro if possible !

ok - first thing:
rafi290 you( and lots of other beginners - that want to lern howto hack\become and hacker\etc ) join forums all over the net read few articles about things that ppl call "NtPass"\"SMBScan"\etc ! and you think that if you use this technic you are a hacker\hack\etc.. and you must understand that reading tutorials,guides,etc and then like a robot you do what they(the ppl that wrote the article) told you(in the article ) wont make you a hacker or something like that.

ok after we passed that lets go into level 2!: - the thing you and lots of others call "NtPass"\"NtScan" is not more then Connecting to a Shared Folder\Drive\Computer with a Default pass or a Weak pass(1234\etc)! so stop using those words(ntpass\smbscan\etc) because its stupid! you dont lern anything from using those "hacking"(notice the "") ways! you just show ppl how can you follow someones guide step by step and getting control on some computer\server that the owner\system admin didn't know how to secure it(first step setting a strong pass ).

mmm, i hope you understand that i didn't wrote this post to say "you are lame" or "you newibe" or something like that ! i wrote this post because every forum\board i look into i see ppl write about using "ntpass" or things like that! - and i hope you all understand we must stop this shit from taking over every beginner and make him a robot of those guide!.

Seems to me this NTpass is just one of the simpleest ways to gain access to someone elses PC.

So naturally people are gonna start there.

I've read a few posts from Fl4me and you say we shouldn't act like robots and I agree some of the tutorials around don't explain much and when they don't work your're left stuck as you don't really understand what went wrong.

It seems I read 10 tutorials none of which have all the info i need & I piece together what works by trial and error.
so what would you suggest?

I read a lot of stuff and try out a lot of stuff,I follow up on the things that seem to work.
