In a nutshell, I would greatly appreciate if anyone can shed some light on why my netgear WG511T won't do promiscuous mode, my other card - a Linksys WPC54G does it fine. Ethereal doesn't pick up any packets if Promiscuous mode is set, Arp poisoning programs which seem to need it, they crash or hang. No it's not my comp, C&A APR mode works fine with my other card.

Anyone know of a hardware setting, or even a registry hack (unlikely) to enable this.. fun mode?

For those of you wondering what promiscuous mode is.

which OS are you trying to use?

From what i can find out regarding this card, it would appear that it runs the Atheros chipset, which is very well supported under most OS's.

if u wanna run it under Linux, try the madwifi drivers.
I think they are available from SourceForge.
