I got this blaster virus or worm and it shuts down my computer all the time.. i need to know if any of you know how to get rid of it

install corectif patch microsoft

Get yourself a firewall and keep up to date with patches.

Or switch to Linux.

or simply disable dcom

well, all those previous posts tell you how to prevent it, not get rid of it....


When Windows tells you it will shut down in 45 seconds, go to

Start>Run and type "shutdown -a" without quotes and it will prevent it from shutting down.

Use Windows update to get the patch, and download a good firewall. I use Kerio Personal Firewall and its nice...
