i have a centrino computer, and i noticed that the PEEK Protocol is not supported by integrated WLAN adapters in Centrino computers...
Any ideas why it is not supported? is it because of the hardware structure of centrino WLAN adapters?
btw, I learned that the same is for USB WLAN adapters,too...

Don't know, but have heard, that there are no driver for procismious modus for intel centrino card.
best support grants with agere (orinoco) chipsets!

here is the answer from WildPackets:
For a wireless card to work with a wireless network analyzer, the card must have the ability to enter RF monitor mode. Without RF monitor mode, you cannot capture all wireless traffic. As far as we know, the Centrino chipset does not support RF monitor mode, so it will not work with AiroPeek. Please refer to the AiroPeek supported hardware page, which contains a current list of wireless adapters that we support with AiroPeek.

the answer is clear and satisfying...

well, things changed in time. in ipw2200.sourceforge.net, it's said that the monitor mode is supported for linux users. Even kismet supports this adapter. Then I thought same should be for windows, but didn't succeed it at all. So my question is: did anyone succeed enabling monitor mode in windows for Intel Pro Wireless 2200 BG adapter?
Any answers and methods are welcome.
Thanks.
