Hi good Folks,
I am testing netstat for a long time but there are a few things I do not understand.
If i use netstat /a several connections are listed. Within there are some which connect back to me to port 0 (What is Port 0, What can i do with it). These Connections aren't established they listen.
Is it maybe a loop back in order to tunnel a port but then I think it must connect to the port and not to 0.
The next Question is pointed on connections which Remoteaddress is *.* What is that ?
I know the dos value for *.* but i think it cant be the same sad.gif

At least: Is there a way to find out wich service is binded to a shown port ?

PS: Sorry for my english

If you're looking for a program that maps listening ports to processes, try Active ports for a GUI version, or Openports for a "better" version of netstat
