Full Version: Run Osx On Windows!
Tyrano
I found this today, not sure exactly which forum to post it in though. Looks awesome!

http://www.cherryos.com/

Would you like to surf the web on Mac OS, check your email or just testdrive the Apple operating system?

Our solution, CherryOS, is to turn a PC into a Macintosh clone, and to run MacOS and Macintosh applications directly on the PC. You benefit from the lower cost and faster speed of the PC, and still keep the use of your Macintosh applications.

It's not out yet, but there should be a trial version soon!

CherryOS is by 99.9% a hoax - a guy probably tried to wrap PearPC into a nice package and sell it. Forget about it.

MacOnLinux - well yeah.. IF you use Linux on a Mac and want to be able to run Mac OS X too.. then you're all set to go.

Sorry if everybody knew this, but I didn't see any replies about these small things and issues.

The funny thing about OS X is that it doesn't work that well on some actual *Mac* hardware unless you have a bunch of RAM and a good graphics card. smile.gif

Don't get me wrong though, it is a beautiful OS...just wish Windows emulation worked better on it (I still need Windows for my malware research!). Virtual PC7 is nice, but still not there. I have an iBook G4 800 with 640MB of RAM and it is still pretty doggy.

But I digress... cool.gif

Emulation is one thing (A good thing for vunerbility testing)
Yet as i dont remember where i saw this (I'll google it) theres a new method where it runs ontop of a nex-gen OS (IE(Longhorn(MACOSX...)))
