sum1 knows why i cant start a firedaemon with those boxes??? the ip is correct and not routered?

hmm...I dont know, but try sc.exe and srvany.exe.

try dcoming to the box and typing

net user blah password /add
net localgroup administrators blah /add
net start telnet

then telnet to the box login with the username and password
quit dcom and quickly type shutdown -a into you telnet session
and start it from there..

telnet is a hell of a lot more stable that the dcom shell.
you can also use edit.

when I try doing that on some boxes, its says that the service is invalid. Any reason this could happen?
