okay,

this has been baffling me for ages, windows 2003 server , when trying to download a exe file just get garbage, no download box.

for example trying to download SP2 from microsoft when clikc the "go" button all i get is this:-

~(i cant right clikc and save target as becuase its a button)

Does Server 2003 support download managers like Flashget, GetRight, Net Transport, etc.?

Hmm, why is is trying to call systemshutdown. Remove the IE Security module from components. That shold fix it.

i think when i download anything, it just shows the code, i cant actually download it.

It looks like your content type for exe is pooched. Check in regedit in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT that the .exe has a REG_SZ value ContentType and that it contains application/x-msdownload
