Full Version: Print Sharing

Im having more problems with the computer I am fixing round a neighbours houes, print sharing is working from the downstairs printer to the upstairs pc but the upstairs printer wont share. I have tried turning on guest account and then setting its password to nothing. This doesnt bring up the logon box when I try and access it any more and instead gives me an "access denied". Please help out Im getting really annoyed !! lol

Oh btw I have tried the netbios settings. Thanks in advance.

in windows xp you have to verify the option of your imprimante there is an option to share this

Ok I got pissed off and gave the guest account admin priviledges and it now works. Probably not very secure but it works at least.

Giving admin rights ? U could have tried giving user privilages too .

every time I give anyone on that computer anything other than admin rights window pops up an error saying the group doesnt exist, I cant use group manager as its XP home. Then it half deletes the user. The user is gone but the name cant be reused. So i got pissed off and now it works so now im happy. . . . . . . .
