I've been experimenting with the Metasploit Framework 2.2 recently. I didn't see a tutorial on this topic and thought I might post what I've initially found in using the tool. My experimentation was done on a Windows XP Pro SP2 system.

The basis for the tutorial was mainly that the metasploit site was kind of vague on some points.

I focused on the command line version. The web version could easily be initated by firing up msweb.bat from the \Metasploit Framework directory and then by opening a browser to http:\\127.0.0.1:55555\.

Hope this helps straighten out some kinks.
